Babies in Langa consists of 2 projects in the community of Langa, a neighborhood that suffers from poverty and unemployment, and which was created in 1927 so that black populations had an official legal place of residence at the time of Apartheid.

The Siyakhanyisa Educare Center started in 2014. The preschool has classrooms and an outdoor playground that can accommodate up to 95 children aged between 1 and 5 years.

The school charges a symbolic fee to parents so that it can keep the place functioning, with teachers and 2 meals a day, which in many cases is the children’s only daily meal.

Centro Inga Educare is a day care center for children aged between 2 and 5, which emerged in 1999, when a local lady started to take care of some children in the region so that their parents could work and in a short time she found herself taking care of a house full of kids.
